Audio & Video Instructions
To use the projector/sound system start here ⬇️
If using the projector, raise the silver front Optoma remote over your head and point it straight at the front of the projector (towards the lens), and then press the "On" button.
Wait a minute for the projector to warm up. If you look directly at the lens, you'll see a white light while it's warming up.
There are 2 content sources for the sound system and the projector:
Select your source by pressing either of the following buttons on the bottom of the Optoma remote control:
HDMI 1 is for content via the black Sony STR - DH 590 amplifier.
HDMI 2 is the Wi-Fi connection to the Station Bay Apple TV.
Shut down instructions:
Projector bulbs have a limited life span. Please turn it off when you are done by pushing the "Off" button on the Optoma remote.
When done with the Sony amplifier, please turn the volume down and power it off.
Please return the remotes to the top of the AV cabinet when you are done.
Blu-Ray or DVD
Turn on the projector and select HDMI 1.
Power on the LG Disc Player and insert your Blu-Ray or DVD.
Power on the Sony amplifier with the button on the left side of the unit.
Ensure the Volume (largest far right knob) is set to 15 or lower.
Turn the smaller Source knob and set it to BD/DVD.
Adjust the volume to your liking with the large volume knob.
Computer Presentation or Video from a Computer
[Apple devices] In your Screen Mirroring settings, select Station Bay (Apple TV). Use the Optoma remote to select HDMI 2. Share your screen/video via the Apple TV. For audio:
Plug your device into the 1/8" stero jack on the podium.
Power on the Sony amplifier with the button on the left side of the unit.
Ensure the Volume (largest far right knob) is set to 15 or lower.
Turn the smaller Source knob and set it to SAT/CATV.
Adjust the volume to your liking with the large volume knob.
[HDMI cord] As a wired alternative, you can use the HDMI cable:
Plug the HDMI cable on the podium into your computer port. Please bring your own adapter if necessary. We do not have a USB-c or a USBC to HDMI adapter at the Station.
Make sure your computer video is set to share with the HDMI output.
Power on the Sony amplifier with the button on the left side of the unit.
Ensure the Volume (largest far right knob) is set to 15 or lower.
On the Sony amplifier, use the smaller Input knob to select GAME.
For audio: On the Sony amplifier, press the MOVIE button and select HD-DIGITAL.
Music on the LG Disc Player (CD)
Power on the LG Disc Player and insert your music CD.
Power on the Sony amplifier with the button on the left side of the unit.
Ensure the Volume (largest far right knob) is set to 15 or lower.
Turn the smaller Source knob and set it to BD/DVD.
Push the AFD/2CH button on the Sony amplifier until you see MULTI ST.
Adjust the volume to your liking with the large volume knob.
Music from a Computer, Phone or other device
[Connect your device via stereo jack] You can play audio by plugging into the provided stereo jack, or use the Bluetooth instructions below:
Plug your device into the 1/8" stereo jack on the podium and turn the device volume up.
Power on the Sony amplifier with the button on the left side of the unit.
Ensure the Volume (largest far right knob) is set to 15 or lower.
Turn the smaller Source knob and set it to SAT/CATV.
Adjust the volume to your liking with the large volume knob.
If there is no sound, press the small horizontal INPUT MODE button on the Sony amplifier until the display reads ANALOG.
[Bluetooth to Sony amp] The Sony amp is Bluetooth capable, so you can stream audio by following these instructions:
Place the personal device that you want to pair so that it's near the black Sony amplifier.
Power on the Sony amplifier with the button on the left side of the unit.
Ensure the Volume (largest far right knob) is set to 15 or lower.
Locate and push the Bluetooth button on the Sony amp.
Open the BT settings on your device to connect to the Sony amp.
Turn the smaller Source knob and set it to SAT/CATV.
Adjust the volume to your liking with the large volume knob.
If there is no sound, press the small horizontal INPUT MODE button on the Sony amplifier until the display reads ANALOG.
